Mahamrityunjaya Japa banishes the fear of death forever from one’s life. This japa dispels all sort of fears, influence of evil planets, fear of ghosts, accidental death and disease etc. It relieves one from all dreadful diseases. Blesses the person with good health and frees from all ailments. It is also called Mrita-Sanjivini mantra because it is a component of the “life-restoring” practice given to the primordial sage Shukra after he had completed an exhausting period of austerity. The Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is hailed by the sages as the heart of the Veda.
